When you sit down to eat you choose those things you like and feel like you have some kind of control. Then why don’t people who are on drugs for depression take pretty much anything a doctor will give you? You must approach any medicine you take the same as you would food. Here is a fact there are doctors who will prescribe something just to make you go away. Then there are those that will put you on one drug for a short time then change to another. That is dangerous for you. Your mindset should be the fewer the better. Pills alone will not solve any problems you may be facing. They may mask things but are not the total answer. I have spoken to many mental health professionals and there is not an agreement on what the long term side effects of these medicines have on people. So why take the risk? There are those that truly need medicines as a supplements to other treatments and those should be pursued. It’s your body and you do have control over what you put into it!
