Employers and Employee Depression a Few Tips.

Depression is a topic that can be hard to face in the workplace for employer and employee. Employers in many ways are in a tough spot on this topic. You have a business to run while at the same time your employees have a multitude of issues of in their lives that can range of issues that have nothing to do with their employment.

So hear are a few tips that might help.

1} Be aware of the weather now that sounds stupid but if you have a few cloudy dreary days straight then you might want to consider  doing something different to mix things up.

2} You need to be able to  determine if someone is just having a bad day versus someone fighting deep depression. If you have an employee who has always done a great job and then they start to slip then you may need to investigate.

3}  Remember to show you care about your employees.

4] Remember to never forget that your employees are the most important part of your business. If they are struggling then so will your business.

Some time back I had a conversation with a Pastor friend of mine and the topic of how he handles talking in front of a congregation. He said he always tries to remember that he has no idea as to what the people in the pews are dealing with in their lives.
