Decades ago people were told that by this time in our countries history that the amount of paperwork that would needed to be done would drop dramatically. As any small business owner would tell you they are drowned with the amount of paperwork they have to do. Common sense would tell you that less paperwork would give them more time to grow their business and potentially hire more people? At least that would give them the option. In many conversations with small business owners I have heard time and time again the frustration they feel. I was visiting an antique store one day and a young girl wanted to buy a 45 album for 50 cents so she gave the owner a dollar and the young girls father said not to worry about a receipt. The owner informed them that it is required to have a receipt on everything! Where is the common sense in that? These kinds of things happen over and over again in the small business world. The engine of the economy are the small business owners. Just look around they are all around you. Giving them less paperwork would be the right thing to do.
In all the media hype I think its important to clarify the meaning of what a moratorium and what a ban is.
A moratorium is a delay or suspension of an activity or a law. In a legal context, it may refer to the temporary suspension of a law to allow a legal challenge to be carried out.
: to forbid people from using (something) : to say that something cannot be used or done
